This course teaches students how to start a business, how to manage a business and skills needed to be successful in the world of work. This is a student's chance to start thinking creatively and to learn the skills needed to become a successful entrepreneur.

Real world experiences and situations will be brought into the classroom through management of the school store and event concession management. Students will perform skills needed and valued in the workplace. They will learn the value of teamwork and will practice the communication skills needed to be successful in any area of business.

Class time will split between work days for the school store and event concessions and class days will consist of: lecture, projects, research, discussion and activities. Generally 2-3 days a week are spent working in the school store businesses.

Students are required to put in a certain number of hours per quarter for a certain grade. These hours can be earned by working in concessions, Pack Shack Clothing or the Pack Shack TA Store. Students will work in groups and be asked to put together a fund raising activity for a local charity. They will be graded on the planning process and success of their activity.
