Biology
The biology class taught at MHS is a required class for all students to pass before they graduate from Milaca High School. The class will cover all areas of life science with an emphasis on: ecology, classification, microbiology, cell biology, genetics, principles of evolution, human biology, and a survey of the animal kingdom. Students will be required to take the MCA Life Science test at the end of the year.
Forensic Science
Forensic Science is a branch of science used for legal purposes to determine cause of death and examination of injuries due to crimes. Throughout the semester we will be learning about many different topic areas including; processing a crime scene, forensic anthropology, forensic entomology, DNA evidence, fingerprints, blood spatter, trace evidence, the criminal mind, toxicology, arson and a crime scene assessment at the end of the semester. This course will allow students to incorporate many of the science and math concepts they have learned in previous courses.
Earth Science 8
Earth Science 8 is a lab intensive class that focuses on the areas of Meteorology, Astronomy, Geology, and Hydrology.
Life Science 7
Life Science is a lab intensive class that is centered around the living systems on Earth. I hope to challenge students in the fields of Ecology, Genetics, Human Biology, and Animal Sciences while providing a fun learning environment.
