Forensic Science/Crime Scene Investigations (CSI) .5 Credit

Prerequisite: Passed with a āCā average or concurrently enrolled in Biology, Chemistry and Algebra III or Pre Calculus
Description: Forensic Science is a branch of science used for legal purposes to determine cause of death and examination of injuries due to crimes. Throughout the semester we will be learning about many different topic areas including; processing a crime scene, forensic anthropology, forensic entomology, DNA evidence, fingerprints, blood spatter, trace evidence, the criminal mind, toxicology, arson and a crime scene assessment at the end of the semester. This course will allow students to incorporate many of the science and math concepts they have learned in previous courses.
