August 18 - School Board votes for in-person learning!

Last night, based on guidance provided by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), and Mille Lacs County Public Health, the Milaca School Board voted for students to return to in-person learning for the start of the 2020-2021 school year! We know this is exciting for many families and students but also raises many questions. We also know some families are not comfortable returning to in-person learning and have questions about distance learning and online learning. In an attempt to answer some of these questions, we have created a Frequently Asked Questions document. This document will be updated continually, so check back for updates.

As Superintendent Wedin explained in his last video, if there is an increase in local COVID-19 cases, we may be advised by MDE/MDH and Mille Lacs County Public Health to change our learning model. For more information on how the decision to shift learning models is made or more details on the specific learning models, please review the 2020-2021 Parent/Student Learning Guide. This is also a living document and will be updated as needed.

Watch for Superintendent Wedin's video to be released later in the week, where he will provide commentary on some of the most common questions!
