Dear Milaca Families -
On February 1, students in PreK-grade 9 returned to In-Person Learning. While it is wonderful to have students back in the building, the absence of our most senior grade levels has not gone unnoticed. I am excited to report that on Tuesday, February 16, we will welcome back grades 10-12 for In-Person Learning that will include 1 day of Distance Learning per week!
Meal pick up is available for families who have children 18 years old or under, families who continue to distance learn, and families who have grade 7-12 students that will be distance learning one day per week. Due to the increase of students in the building and staffing needs the meal pick up times needed to be adjusted. The meals are available for pick up from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the High School Cafeteria doors on days school is in session. These meals, as well as the breakfast and lunch served during the school day, are free until the end of the school year.
As a reminder, there is no school this Friday, February 12, and Monday, February 15. Meal pick up is not offered on days students are not in school.
We are continuing to monitor the county and school community COVID case numbers. While today we look forward to and celebrate the return of all students to In-Person learning, we need to remember this could change depending upon local case numbers. We need to maintain flexibility in the future if we are directed by county health and the Regional Support Team to make learning model changes if needed.
I appreciate your continued patience and support. It will take a continued effort of our community to ensure students stay with In-Person Learning but I believe in our community. Through the strength of our wolf pack, we will persevere!
