Milaca Public Schools
500 Highway 23 West
Milaca, MN 56353
Milaca School District receives Targeted Services funds to support summer school programs for students. Students are recommended based on assessments, teacher input, and parent input.

In addition to working on reading, math, and social skills, we will have a Genius Hour built into the day. Genius Hour allows students to choose a class that interests them. Students will be able to sign up for classes such as science, art, cooking, sign language, chess, gardening, inventions, or technology. There will also be a community event for all summer school students each week. This may include a library visit, a grill-out lunch, or a nature walk. We’re working on some fun events!

Transportation is not provided for summer school. Parents will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from school. Students need to be dropped off at the Elementary School by 8:00 and be picked up by 1:00.

We know summer is a busy time. We also know how important it is for students to continue working on math and reading the entire summer so they don’t lose all of the great learning they gained throughout the school year. We can be flexible with your summer schedules! Just let us know which days your child may miss due to scheduled activities. We believe learning during the summer months is so valuable; we want to make it work for you and your child!
