COVID-19 Response Plan

Milaca Public Schools mission is to educate, empower, and engage all students to become caring and responsible citizens who will succeed in an ever-changing world. Our ever-changing world is now faced with an expanding outbreak of COVID-19. This is an emerging, rapidly evolving situation that will undoubtedly have implications for many communities around the country, including our own.

Milaca Public Schools continues to work closely with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) as we prepare for what, if any, impact the virus might have on our schools. These two state agencies, in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), take the lead on decisions regarding school closures or other impacts on schools that could result from outbreaks of contagious conditions, while monitoring local and national health concerns.

Starting March 17, 2020, Milaca Public Schools will be closed to students through March 27 to give staff members time to prepare for distance learning. Please find additional information on this page.
