October 1 - Milaca High School Transitions to Hybrid Effective October 5

October 1, 2020

Milaca School District has been provided guidance and support from Mille Lacs County Public Health and the Regional Support Team (MDE/MDH)  to change learning models due to the increase in confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our area. As a result, we will be moving from our current all in-person instructional model to a hybrid model for students in grades 7-12. Through this model, students will typically spend two days per week learning in person and the rest engaged in remote learning. Elementary students (PreK - grade 6) will continue instruction via the in-person learning model.

Fortunately, we have planned for this scenario and are ready to quickly make the transition. We will begin the hybrid model for grades 7-12 on Monday, October 5, 2020. Families should watch for an email later today from the Milaca High School with the details of hybrid learning.

Please know we are taking this action to protect the health and safety of our students, staff, and families. We hope to be able to return to all in-person learning in the near future. This will depend on the status of COVID-19 and the guidance we receive from the Mille Lacs County Public Health and the Regional Support Team.
