I am so excited to be apart of your child’s educational journey! We have a lot of fun and learning planned in second grade! I look forward to working with you and your child! I graduated from St. Cloud State University with my license in Early Childhood Education. I have my Master’s degree in teaching and learning from St. Mary’s University. In my free time I enjoy being with family and friends, especially my husband and our 2 children. I love baking, camping, fishing and four wheeling.  Dear Families, 

I am so excited to be your student’s second grade teacher! We have a lot of fun learning planned for this year. 

This is my 23rd year of teaching.  I taught 3rd grade for 12 years prior to coming to second grade. I earned my teaching degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead and received my Masters of Teaching and Learning degree through St. Mary’s University.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 children, camping, reading, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and going to garage sales.

Welcome to second grade! My name is Matt Follmuth. This is my 20th year teaching in Milaca. My family and I live in Milaca and are involved in many activities and organizations. Outside of school I enjoy reading, fishing, kayaking, camping, traveling, baseball, football, movies, and spending time with friends and family.

I look forward to a wonderful year with you! Together, we can make your child’s education a positive experience! We have many exciting days of learning this year! In second grade we will work on enhancing our reading, writing, and math skills. Reading, writing, and practicing math at home will help your child be successful in life and in school. We will also be studying science, social studies, and health, as well as our specials rotation with physical education, media, music, and art.

Shannon Lepper

Welcome to our class!

Welcome to 2nd grade!

My name is Shannon Lepper. I am a second grade teacher here at Milaca Elementary.  I went to elementary, middle, and high school in Milaca, I attended St Cloud State University where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and I earned my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary’s Master’s of Education program.

I currently live north of town with my husband, Troy.  We have three grown sons, Jacob, Derrick, and Beau.  I love to travel, golf, play games, watch the Minnesota Vikings, and watch funny movies. In my spare time I love to read, sew, golf, flower garden, and spend time with my family.

I am so excited to be working with you this year. We have many exciting days of learning ahead of us! We will spend a great deal of time enhancing our reading skills, writing each day during writer’s workshop, and working on math skills. We will also have unit studies in science, social studies and health as well as having a specials rotation (gym, media, music, and art). I look forward to all of us learning and working together!
