Human Geography Teacher: James Taylor Grade Level: 9 Prerequisite: None Course Description: This course is designed as an introduction to the principal concepts, approaches, and perspectives of the study of geography through the examination of world geographic patterns and processes. Major topics of study include: 5 themes of geography & mapping skills; Population; Culture; Political; Agriculture; Economics; Urban; Environmental. Students will learn about methods and tools geographers use, studying processes and patterns that have shaped human understanding, and examine human social organization (i.e. migration patterns, population patterns, city configurations, etc.) |
