Below are Scholarships advertised to Milaca High School that are NOT specific to Milaca Students- these are available to students throughout Minnesota or the Nation: The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation AHRI oversee the Rees Scholarship Foundation, which was established to assist with the recruitment and competency of future HVACR technicians by awarding scholarships to qualified students who are enrolled in an institutionally accredited school. Since 2003, the Rees Scholarship Foundation has awarded more than $1 million to over 700 deserving students. Each year, the foundation awards scholarships of up to $2,000 each to qualified students. Scholarship recipients also receive a free Ready to Work test through our partnership with North American Technician Excellence (NATE). More information on the Rees Scholarship can be found here. There are multiple scholarship programs with varying eligibility requirements, but generally they all require official transcripts and a short essay. There are two application cycles, one for fall semester applications, which are due October 1st and another for spring semester applications, which are due June 1st. All eligible students in the high school graduating class can apply, even students who are not U.S. Citizens. The Horatio Alger Association is seeking students who display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, and plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Students must have financial need and a determination to turn adversity into opportunity and pursue their American Dream.
